Where did I go?

Hello all!

Has it really been a month since I last wrote?! Time has flown by (whilst also feeling like it’s dragged on, sigh) leaving me very confused as to what day/month it is. I suppose it’s time for another catch up post (I feel like my blog is turning into just these posts now – oops).

I can’t even remember half the things I’ve been up to, but I can tell you what didn’t get done! I had meant to write a post over on my second blog but my energy left me so that still remains unwritten . . . Maybe after this post I shall go and write it. Anyway, I also mentioned organising my health a bit more but on the third day, I think it was, my brain had a complete meltdown and I didn’t do anything because I was miserable. Sigh.

I went to my grandparents’ house for my grampy’s birthday at the beginning of the month, which was lovely (although quite warm). My cousin and I played quite a bit and I was telling him about all the different plants (which I’m sure you can imagine was incredibly scientific *coughs*). I did end up needing a lie down (a race in the heat is not conducive to having energy!) but it didn’t really ruin the day so I think I’ve made some progress!

After that I’ve been sorting out things I want to learn (focussing on English, maths, textiles and art at the moment, maybe a bit of German on the side but we shall see!) and I’ve organised it quite well, so I’m pretty pleased about that. Some things still need a bit of work but when you’ve got some pretty good Youtube videos that are able to show you what to do, it does wonders! Art still seems to be a bit of a hurdle, but I’m sure if I do it daily I’ll eventually figure it out. Hopefully. I was not gifted with the drawing talent…

What else… Ah yes! A little while ago I mentioned writing (well, I’ve mentioned it many a time but that is beside the point). To summarise (because that post is rather lengthy) – I’m working on a world of my own that I’ve been with for a long while but never had the guts to write about until delving back into the worlds of Lewis and Tolkien. *nods* That should be enough explanation.

Anyway, I go back to my little notebook that I write all these details about the world in every now and then, just checking and making sure no soon-to-be proper characters have done something they shouldn’t. Like you do when you’re a writer. These past few days I’ve been noting things down more and more in it (and talking things through with mum i.e giving an example and then asking how she interprets that to make sure I’ve described it properly enough) so it seems soon I can maybe start writing up more characters and maybe start to plan out where I want to start and end etc.. It’s exciting and fun to do little bits at a time. I showed mum some history of the world and she informed me I do need to start writing it already. Hopefully that’ll keep me motivated enough to do so!

I’ve also moved rooms with my mum, so in between doing some schoolwork and working I’ve been helping the parents clear out the rooms and move furniture. Once I’ve got the room looking presentable I’ll do a room tour of that one. I really, really love it and am so happy with how it turned out. There is a slight issue with sleeping arrangements, but I’m sure we’ll be able to figure it out!

Other than that I’ve been plodding along. I’ve been a bit distant with friends but I think that’s just how it is when it comes to the summer holidays. They’re probably used to me doing that now anyway, eheh.

Fingers crossed I’ll be back soon with that post (maybe I’ll write it down, along with the list of posts I mean to do… Might be a good idea). Sorry if this post is all over the place, it’s way too early to be coherent!

See you soon!
