Merry Christmas (nearly)

Well, I s’pose this is as good a time as any to write a pre-Christmas post! I doubt I’ll be able to get another post in for the rest of the year (busy week next week) so here I am with the last post of 2013! It’s been a craaaazy year, eh?! I’ve enjoyed this year though, it’s certainly been a more eventful one than I’ve had in probably the past 5 or 6 years!

Anyway, I’m not here to reminisce, I am here to show you what I’ve been getting up to! Since my last post my lovely quilt has been made, and I absolutely adore it. I haven’t been able to snuggle under it yet, as I have to tidy my room up a bit, but it’s fab. Here is the picture:

Pretty ❤

Isn’t it gorgeous? It goes so well in my room, I love it. 🙂 It’s certainly helped keep my bed warm the past few nights, as it’s been quite nippy with all the wind that’s decided to re-visit (I swear England never gets the “winter” memo).

Then dad kindly put up a few things in my room that have been waiting nearly a year to be put it up. You can’t rush these things, obviously. ;D

It’s so nice to have them up finally!!

After that I got busy with cooking and made my parents a batch of (rather yummy, if I do say so myself) gingerbread. It was quite a bit stressful, not going to lie, but it was worth it for my parents to enjoy them. 🙂 Here’s some pictures from the fun:

Decorating was very interesting, the icing was a bit too runny (my hand may or may not have slipped when pouring the water into the sugar) but it was fun to decorate. Favourite part of baking, you get to eat the decorations as you go along. ;D

Then after that adventure, we put our living room tree up. Well, we decorated it once, then the next day re-did it as the first attempt wasn’t the greatest. Tipsy angel returned though, which is always good!

She is leaning forward, you just can’t see it from this angle. It’s very funny when you walk round the sofa and see the angel leaning forward. xD Soon we’re putting the handmade tree up, so a gift from a friend of mine in Australia and the decorations I made last week will go on there. I love decorating that tree!

I still have a couple of presents to make but after that I get to sit back and relax (for a few days before all the visiting begins. I’m looking forward to it though, for once!). I can’t wait to see the reactions for some of the gifts. It’s sure to be amusing!

Sorry for the bad pictures, I know I promised that I’d use my camera but I kept forgetting to carry it with me. I shall promise that for the new year’s post, I will have taken pictures on my camera. I promise. *crosses fingers* xD

Anyway, I shall leave you now! I hope you all have a lovely Christmas, and if you don’t celebrate Christmas, I hope you enjoy your Wednesday. xD
See you all in the new year!

  1. So much going on for you at the mo Jess isn’t there? It’s such a blessing to see you enjoying it, even though it exhausts you. Your room is looking great and so is the tree. I’m looking forward to seeing the homemade one when I come to visit. 🙂 Xxx
